SIS WAS HERE
Sis lived to 101+. This blog is inspired by her kind, uplifting spirit, commitment to connection, and uninhibited openness to new and exciting experiences. Enjoy the journey!
On CBC Radio’s Superior Morning with Mary-Jean Cormier, Nancy to Mary-Jean Cormier about the Park Your Stories project.
It was an exciting time as Thunder Bay welcomed the best women curlers from all across Canada to the 2022 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the Canadian Women’s Curling Championship, in early February. My mother, Sis Angus, lived to be over 101 and right until the end she curled along with the athletes on television.

Sis' digital story: At 101+, Sis appreciated a good story. And she loved to tell a story! She wrote and voiced this digital story in January 2020 while she was a patient at our local hospital.

Sis Angus, lived BIG - Boldly, Inquisitively, Gratefully.
Her journey started in 1918 in Emo, Ontario, a small community on the shores of the Rainy River in northwestern Ontario. Until February 2020, she packed so much into every day. She is a role model and mentor to many, and she demonstrated by example how to live BIG every day.
